Same Day Dentistry with Planmeca PlanScan

Computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology has been revolutionizing many industries, including dentistry. 

Dr. Koza can now complete beautiful restorations like crowns, inlays and onlays in only one day.  Even with our Planmeca PlanScan system we still customize what material and process is appropriate for an individual patient.  Some materials still require fabrication in the lab which takes more time.

Once an impression is taken and a model poured we scan the model into a computer.  Using CAD (Computer Aided Design), the restoration is designed and sent to a milling machine in our office which makes the physical restoration.  The restoration is then finished in a process called glazing, which requires heating in a special oven to bring the material to its full strength. 

Your final result is a natural-looking restoration of high strength that matches the surrounding teeth, making your crown or filling virtually undetectable. The elimination of impressions, temporaries, and second appointments enhances the entire dental experience for our patients. As an added bonus, many of our patients love watching their new tooth come to life in the milling unit right in front of their eyes!
